The Metaphor of Vision in Teacher Education is specifically addressed to professors and researchers working in Italian universities who are involved, or interested in becoming involved, in educating future English language teachers. The book proposes and describes a task-based pre- service EFL teacher education course designed with a two-modular format: one on learning, the other on teaching. The metaphor of sision – seeing in the language classroom in both its figurative and literal senses – inspired the creation of the course and reflects its goals and objectives. The metaphor also provides the framework which linkis the conceptual and operational design of the course, described in Part One of the book and the practical learning tasks and teaching materials, included in Part Two.
